The Journey So Far

I’m Kiefer Perry. At 37, my connection to Oklahoma isn't just about my zip code—it’s about a lifetime of roots. Born in Norman and raised throughout the Tulsa area, I've seen this community evolve firsthand. I know our streets because I’ve lived them, from the creative pulse of Tulsa’s downtown arts district and our legendary local music stages to the small businesses that keep our local food scene thriving. I’ve also seen our resilience, like the way neighbors mobilize with chainsaws and hot coffee the moment an ice storm hits. Whether I was logging hours at the hardware store or seeing families navigate shifting economies, I learned that Oklahomans are defined by their work ethic and how they show up for one another. Those experiences taught me that every dollar in our state budget is the product of a citizen's hard work, not just a digit on a screen. I’m ready to bring that perspective to the Treasurer’s office to manage our state’s wealth with the honesty and respect you deserve.

Experience

I grew up right here in the Tulsa public school system, starting out at Carnegie Elementary, moving on to Nimitz Middle School, and attending Memorial High School. Those hallways taught me way more than what was in the textbooks; they showed me what being an Oklahoman is all about. Living here, I learned that community means rolling up your sleeves to help a neighbor and putting in the hard work to get things done. Whether I was in class or out in various areas of the service industry, I saw firsthand that when we serve one another and stay disciplined, we all succeed. Those are the same local values I’ll bring to the Treasurer’s office every single day.

Beyond the classroom, I have dedicated years to the independent study of Austrian economics, drawing deep insights from the works of Murray Rothbard, Milton Friedman, Ludwig von Mises, and Thomas Sowell. This intellectual foundation informs my unwavering belief in fiscal responsibility and limited government. I understand that the most effective way to protect taxpayers is to respect the natural laws of the market, ensuring that the state remains a disciplined steward of your money and never an obstacle to your prosperity.

As Vice Chair of the Oklahoma Libertarian Party, I transformed these principles into action through rigorous organizing and strategic coordination. My tenure was defined by grassroots outreach, moving beyond rhetoric to provide real service to Oklahoma voters who feel abandoned by the two-party system. By managing complex logistics and fostering statewide collaboration, I have proven that I possess the organizational discipline and principled leadership necessary to manage the State Treasury with total transparency and integrity.

Break the Binary: A Choice for Oklahoma

For too long, Oklahomans have been forced to settle for the 'lesser of two evils' at the ballot box. Our state treasury deserves more than a compromise; it deserves a champion of principles. I am running to give you a real choice—a choice for fiscal integrity, individual liberty, and a system that finally puts the calculator before the campaign donor. Let's stop settling and start building a future where your vote represents your values, not just your fears.
